Our Approach to Care

Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and understood. That belief shapes our entire approach. Each child has a personalised care plan, developed with their needs and goals in mind. Emotional and behavioural support is consistent and trauma-informed, delivered by carers who understand the importance of trust and stability.

We work in close partnership with social workers, schools, therapists, and families. By maintaining strong communication and collaboration, we help children thrive across all areas of their development. Our care is guided by the nine Quality Standards, ensuring the highest levels of support and accountability.

Providing a Secure Base

All our staff are trained in Secure Base therapeutic parenting. This means we offer care that helps children feel safe and supported, while encouraging them to explore their identity and new experiences with confidence. Children always know support is there when they need it. To support children through difficult emotional moments, staff also receive Team Teach training. This allows us to de-escalate situations with understanding and provide safe, consistent responses to emotional dysregulation.

Our home operates in full accordance with The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, ensuring we meet all legal and ethical responsibilities. We are guided by the 9 Quality Standards, which shape the way we support emotional well-being, education, relationships, and long-term outcomes for every child.

As a registered Ofsted service, our care and governance are subject to regular scrutiny. In addition, we welcome ongoing quality assurance through independent Regulation 44 visits and frequent internal quality reviews. This robust approach helps us maintain a safe, supportive, and high-performing environment where every child can thrive.
